Frequently Asked Questions
How do I update Dual Monitor Tools to the latest version?
If you used the MSI installer, just download and run the new installer — it upgrades in place. If you use the portable ZIP, close DMT from the system tray and replace the folder with the new version. Your settings are preserved in both cases.
Where can I download older versions of DMT?
All historical releases remain available on the official SourceForge project page. See our old versions guide for direct links.
Is Dual Monitor Tools still being updated?
Yes. Version 2.13 was released in September 2026, adding per-monitor cursor-lock hotkeys, custom monitor names, and safer taskbar handling. The project has been actively maintained by Gerald Evans since 2009.
